About Us

Seeding Hope is on a unique quest to create a significant tree growing project, delivered within His Majesty’s Prisons across the UK, whilst providing therapeutic support and horticultural qualifications to prison residents so they gain life & career skills and greater hope for the future.

01. Our Aspirations are

  • To reduce the shortage of trees of local provenance, particularly those traceable to ancient woodlands
  • To address mental health problems and illness within prisons.
  • To lower re-offending rates

02. We will

  • Deliver accredited educational courses to prison residents relating to horticulture & growing trees
  • Provide holistic therapy sessions linking the growing of trees to a better understanding of health and wellbeing
  • Offer growing-on facilities for the sale of native grown trees within the UK.

How it works

Course Delivery

Education and qualification programme

The City & Guilds Practical Horticulture qualification will be delivered by an experienced teacher giving an introduction to growing trees and horticulture.

Well Being Programme

Each teaching cycle will be enhanced with therapy sessions, to support health and wellbeing. Sessions will cover topics such as:
  • Nature connection- for mental & emotional resilience
  • Food & nutrition- for enhanced energy & immunity
  • Relaxation & breathing techniques- for stress relief & emotional well-being
